Making the global winds foldable
- Take the sheet with the Bill Nye questions and one sheet of copy paper and fold them together hamburger.
- On the cover title the booklet "Global Winds Booklet" and put "by:" and your name at the bottom.
- Punch 2 holes so it will fit in your binder.
- Number pages at the bottom from 1 - 6 starting with Bill Nye as page 1.
- On the top of page 2 write "Pressure Belts Page 51".
- On the top of page 3 write "Coriolis Effect Page 52."
- On the top of page 4 write "Global Winds Page 53."
- On the top of page 5 write "Sea and Land Breezes Page 54."
- On the top of page 6 write "Mountain and Valley Breezes Page 55."
Watch the Bill Nye Video on global winds. Students are to complete the questions on the video on page 1 of the booklet.
After watching video and completing the worksheet, verify your notes with your neighbors.

Directions for completing the global winds booklet:
- Page 1 is the Bill Nye notes on wind
- Page 2 Pressure Belts-On page 51 you are to draw the pressure belts and color code the drawing. Also on page 2 write the definition for pressure belt and convection cell.
- Page 3 Coriolis Effect-On page 52 you are to draw the Coriolis effect and color code the drawing. Also on page 3 write the definition for Coriolis effect.
- Page 4 Global Winds-On page 53 you are to draw the global winds and color code the drawing. Also on page 4, write the definitions for polar easterlies, westerlies, trade winds, doldrums, horse latitudes, and the jet stream. If you need more room use the back cover.
- Page 5 Sea and Land Breezes-On page 54 you are to draw the sea and land breezes and color code the drawing. Also on page 5 explain these breezes.
- Page 6 Mountain and Valley Breezes-Draw the mountain and valley breezes from the picture below and color code the drawing. Also on page 6 explain these breezes on page 55.
Take notes on 2-3. Only write the notes in yellow.
