Complete the frayer models for 17-1 in google classroom for the 6 terms to learn in your book on page 458: motion, speed, velocity, acceleration, reference point, centripetal acceleration.
17-1 Bug Race Worksheet
- Go to google classroom and open the 17-1 bug race worksheet under the chapter 17 heading.
- In groups you are to complete the worksheet.
Dominoes Lab - Find the factors of speed
Open the Dominoes lab in google classroom.
- You will be divided into 6 groups.
- Each group will set up 25 dominoes the set distance apart as directed by the lab sheet. (2 cm, 3 cm, and 4 cm measuring from front to front!)
- Using the stopwatch on your phone, record how long it takes for the dominoes to fall. Record the time on the lab sheet.
- When finished, you are to find the average time for each station. You find the average by adding the 3 times together and dividing by 3.
- By using the formula at the bottom of the lab sheet, calculate the rate or speed of the dominoes.
- Complete the statement at the top of the worksheet!
