Chapter 14 Lesson 2
LO: SWBAT explain the steps in respiration.
CO: SWLB watching Brain Pop videos, make Frayer Models for terms, and making a human equation.
EQ: Why do substances need to get in and out of the cell?

EQ: Why do substances need to get in and out of the cell?
Make frayer models for the 3 terms to learn in your book on page 386: Photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and fermentation.

In the last frayer model box, in the upper left block write:
Respiration Analogy
Breathing is to respiration as getting into a car is to driving a car.
In the upper right block write:
Breathing
Draw and label a picture of the lungs and write the word "air" in each lung.
In the lower left block write:
Cellular respiration
Draw and label a picture of a cell with a mitochondria, and write the word "energy" in the mitochondria.
In the lower right block write:
Synonyms
Breathing - air in lungs
Cellular respiration - energy in cell.
Students must draw and color the equations for photosynthesis and cellular respiration on paper. See document below to draw and color.
